Compressed air being released from the BRITA | COOL™ system facilitates the evaporation of moisture and sweat from the body, allowing the body to thermoregulate. Once sweat is given the opportunity to evaporate, the cooling effect has been achieved.
Evaporation of sweat becomes most critical with increasing environmental temperature. When the humidity in the air is high, sweat is produced but evaporation is reduced. Sweat which cannot evaporate has no cooling effect; the sweat drips off and is wasted from a thermoregulatory point of view.
